I am Jonathan Cattle, President of Winfield Consulting SAS. Born in Cosford, United Kingdom, I studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston. Following university, I joined a Graduate Training Programme with a major multinational corporation, which took me to numerous UK universities for intensive courses spanning all core business functions—including strategy, finance, sales & marketing, purchasing, human resources, and supply chain management. This early exposure gave me a panoramic view of British higher education and laid the groundwork for my deep understanding of the UK university system and UCAS.

Throughout my subsequent career in industrial management, I have led, mentored, and developed multicultural teams from all over the world, guiding them to deliver exceptional results. I learned early on that when you support individuals to grow in the right environment, their engagement, commitment, and performance reach extraordinary levels. That passion for talent development has never left me. Today, my mission is to help young candidates flourish in the academic environments best suited to unlock their full potential.

Having supported my own three children through the French school system, I understand its unique inner workings, as well as the pivotal decisions students face post-Bac and post-prépa. After helping my son and daughter secure coveted places at UK universities, I went on to advise other students who successfully obtained offers from world-class institutions such as Imperial College London, King's College London, and the Universities of Glasgow, Bath, Lancaster, Warwick, Bristol, and Durham.

In the post-Brexit landscape, a growing interest in European and Canadian destinations has widened the playing field. This shift has led me to help students successfully navigate applications to prestigious institutions like Bocconi in Italy, IE and ESADE in Spain, the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands, and McGill and Concordia Universities in Canada.

A cornerstone of any UK application is the Personal Statement. I take great pride in helping my students craft compelling personal statements and motivation letters that highlight their genuine passion for their chosen subject. I truly enjoy mentoring young people, bring deep empathy to their individual journeys, and find immense satisfaction in helping them reach their goals. Having lived abroad for many years and travelled extensively, I bring a distinct multicultural perspective and strong linguistic skills to my consultancy.

I am also a British Council trained Advanced Agent/Advisor.
